Flex Fashion

Ever since I was about 15 years old I have been interested in fashion. But it wasn’t until I started traveling to Asia that I started thinking of ways to be well dressed in all situations with limited capacity luggage. Sure I can just buy bigger suitcases but who wants to carry all that around when it’s 95 degrees in Chiang Mai and you’re trying to get to the airport across town? Furthermore, who wants to wait in those long lines for baggage claim, possibly miss your flight, and pay the extra fees for the extra weight of your giant luggage collection? Not me!

I remembered all the social events and other types of meetings I attended—or would probably attend—while living in the city and discovering the world of Digital Nomads. I was invited to birthday parties, I visited religious temples, and I watched other travelers go to job interviews. Although no one really made a big deal over how people were dressed in many situations I did not want to be one of the people who were dressed inappropriately for an occasion.

What items can I fit in a carry on and personal item that would cover me in all of the most likely situations to occur while abroad? After many years of trial and error, self-evaluation, and observation I came up with a list to answer this very question.

There are certain items every man should have in his wardrobe to cover all (or most) occasions. These lists and their explanations are included in a few other pages on Flex Fashion such as:

  • Carry On Capsule
  • Essential Dress Clothes
  • Classic Casual Wardrobe
  • Outerwear & Accessories

Check them out on the menu above!
